Palindrome Checker Free - Live Symmetry & Copy Verdict
Paste a candidate on the left; the panel shows a mismatch count (0 = palindrome after cleanup), the normalized letters and digits we compare, and mirror stats. Copy verdict exports a short plain-text summary. Built for puzzles, homework, and quick QA.
Palindrome checker input and live result
Students, interview prep, and word-game fans-see symmetry in one glance before you submit an answer or tweet.
1 Paste phrase · 2 Edit · 3 Live verdict · 4 Copy verdict
Live result
We keep letters and digits only (case-insensitive); spaces and punctuation are stripped before comparing, like classic “A man, a plan…” puzzles.
Checks run as you type; Copy verdict grabs the plain-text summary.

Length & format benchmarks
Use these as sense checks while you edit-not rigid rules. Every app counts characters and “words” a little differently.
- Blog posts: ~800-2,000 words is a common full-article band before you split into a series.
- SEO explainers: ~1,000-2,500 words when you need depth, headings, and internal links without filler.
- Social: ~100-300 characters for a tight single post; threads need clear breaks.
- Academic abstracts: often ~150-300 words-always match the venue PDF.

What this is for
Use Palindrome Checker when you need a clear yes/no after ignoring spaces and punctuation-classroom drills, interview warmups, or double-checking riddles before you post.
- See the normalized string so everyone agrees what was compared
- Pair with Text reverser when you want a character mirror preview
- Test numeric palindromes (digits are kept)
- Export Copy verdict for notes or submissions
Remember: Emoji and most symbols are removed in normalization-only letters and digits count.
Bookmark this page-palindrome checks are a repeat classroom and puzzle habit. One clean tab beats noisy checker sites.
When a live palindrome checker helps
You need a definitive yes/no after stripping punctuation, or you want to teach mirror logic with a visible mismatch count. This page shows the normalized string we actually compare so nobody argues about hidden spaces-still entirely local.
How it works
- Paste or type in the left field.
- Watch the indigo Live result panel-big mismatch number first, then verdict, normalized length, mirror pairs, and words.
- Read What this means / Next, then Copy verdict for a plain-text summary.
What each metric means
- Mismatched mirror pairs - how many left/right pairs disagree after cleanup; 0 means palindrome.
- Normalized length - count of letters and digits in the compared string.
- Mirror pairs - positions we compare (half the normalized length, rounded down).
- Words (raw) - word count of your original paste for context.
- Characters pasted - trimmed length including spaces before cleanup.
Privacy: Your paste is not uploaded for checking; it stays in this tab until you reload, clear, or copy a verdict yourself.
FAQ
- Is anything uploaded? No-verdict and copy stay in this tab.
- Why is the big number zero but I typed a long sentence? After removing non-alphanumeric characters, every mirror pair matched-a classic palindrome.
- Do emoji count? They are removed in normalization; only letters and digits participate.
- What does Copy verdict include? Yes/no, mismatch summary, normalized string, and length.
- Single letter? One normalized character counts as a palindrome (no pairs to split).
- Can I use it on my phone? Yes-the input and result stack; copy works the same.
