Keyword Density Checker Free - Live %, Matches & Copy Report
Paste on the left, set a focus keyword or phrase in the bar: the panel shows density %, matches vs token total, read time, the top token in your paste, and short hints. Use Copy density report for notes, tickets, or clients. Built for SEO drafts, landing pages, and newsletters.
Keyword density input and live results
Editors and SEOs: see whether a focus word or phrase reads heavy or light in a draft-not a ranking guarantee, just a local check.

Live density
We tokenize letters, digits, underscore, and Cyrillic (case-insensitive). A phrase must appear as consecutive tokens; matches are non-overlapping. Hyphens split tokens, same rules as word frequency. Search engines parse differently. This is an editor’s sanity check on your paste.
Updates live in this tab; use Copy density report when you need the summary elsewhere.

Length & format benchmarks
Use these as sense checks while you edit-not rigid rules. Every app counts characters and “words” a little differently.
- Blog posts: ~800-2,000 words is a common full-article band before you split into a series.
- SEO explainers: ~1,000-2,500 words when you need depth, headings, and internal links without filler.
- Social: ~100-300 characters for a tight single post; threads need clear breaks.
- Academic abstracts: often ~150-300 words-always match the venue PDF.

What this is for
Use this when you are tightening SEO copy, product pages, or campaign email and want a quick, local read on how often a term repeats-not a substitute for search-console data.
- Compare density before and after a real edit
- Spot accidental repetition in long landing pages
- Open Word frequency when you need the full vocabulary table
- Paste the exported report into tickets, slides, or QA notes
Remember: Natural language beats chasing a magic percentage.
Bookmark this page-keyword checks are a repeat step in SEO edits and content QA. One fast tab beats juggling five analyzer sites.
When live keyword density wins
You are polishing blog posts, product pages, or newsletter copy and need a quick read on how often a focus term appears versus total length. The hero shows density %; secondary tiles show matches, tokens, and read time-computed locally.
How it works
- Paste or type in the left column.
- Enter a focus keyword or short phrase-the indigo Live density panel updates automatically.
- Read What this means / Next, then Copy density report for clients or your notes.
What each metric means
- Density % - matches ÷ total word tokens in your paste.
- Matches - how many times the keyword or non-overlapping phrase appears.
- Total tokens - word-like pieces after normalization (hyphens usually split).
- Read time - rough minutes at ~200 wpm on your paste.
- Top token in paste - the most frequent token overall (context for repetition).
Privacy: Your paste is not sent to us for counting; it stays in this tab until you reload, clear, or copy it yourself.
