What this is for

Turn a pasted roster into random, fairly sized teams—sports, class work, icebreakers. Set team count, run once, copy or export.

  • When headcount does not divide evenly, team sizes differ by at most one

Tip: Remove blank lines so they are not counted as players.

How it works

  1. Paste one name or item per line (or use commas).
  2. Set number of teams—capped at roster size.
  3. Click Split into random teams: Fisher-Yates shuffle, then round-robin deal.
  4. Copy results or export; edit the roster and run again anytime.

Privacy: Your roster and team output stay in this tab for the split. We do not receive what you paste. Optional third-party scripts may still load per site settings.

FAQ

  • Why did my team count change? You cannot have more teams than people—we clamp to roster size and show the real count in the result.
  • Are team sizes equal? When numbers do not divide evenly, sizes differ by at most one—we show min/max under Balance.
  • Official drafts? Casual browser helper—not a certified draft system.
